On February 5th between the hours of 9am and 2pm a home on the 12600 Block of Scenic Drive was burglarized resulting in a significant loss of valuables.
A home on the north end of Scenic Drive was broken into on Tuesday, January 21st sometime between 9am and 5pm. The homeowner suspects that they may have interrupted the burglar(s) when they returned home at 5pm. A flat screen TV was on the floor ready to be moved out the rear of the home when they discovered the burglary. A downstairs bathroom window had been carefully removed by the burglars to gain access to the house. Jewelry and passports were stolen.
Please report mail thefts to 9-1-1 and your crime watch captain. Be on the lookout for any vehicles or pedestrians who appear to be following the mail truck. Also, consider a lockable mailbox or clustered mailbox.
Our community has been targeted by adults selling a variety of products. They can be extremely aggressive. If you are approached by strangers at your door, do not open the door, especially if you are alone in the house. If you feel threatened in any way, call 9-1-1.
In the past several years, many neighbors' mailboxes have been bashed and mail has been stolen. If this happens to you, you are encouraged to report it to 9-1-1 as a non-emergency incident and complete a USPS Mail Theft and Vandalism form. Contact your Crime Watch Captain for assistance.
