Another home on Scenic Drive targeted

On February 5th between the hours of 9am and 2pm a home on the 12600 Block of Scenic Drive was burglarized resulting in a significant loss of valuables.

Burglary, January 2014

Thieves break in through a window during the day

A home on the north end of Scenic Drive was broken into on Tuesday, January 21st sometime between 9am and 5pm. The homeowner suspects that they may have interrupted the burglar(s) when they returned home at 5pm. A flat screen TV was on the floor ready to be moved out the rear of the home when they discovered the burglary. A downstairs bathroom window had been carefully removed by the burglars to gain access to the house. Jewelry and passports were stolen.

Stolen/rifled mail found scattered in Windandtide

Please report mail thefts to 9-1-1 and your crime watch captain. Be on the lookout for any vehicles or pedestrians who appear to be following the mail truck. Also, consider a lockable mailbox or clustered mailbox.

Be Cautious of Aggressive Solicitors

Our community has been targeted by adults selling a variety of products. They can be extremely aggressive. If you are approached by strangers at your door, do not open the door, especially if you are alone in the house. If you feel threatened in any way, call 9-1-1.

Mailbox Vandalism and Mail Theft

Several Windandtide Streets Targeted by Vandals

In the past several years, many neighbors' mailboxes have been bashed and mail has been stolen. If this happens to you, you are encouraged to report it to 9-1-1 as a non-emergency incident and complete a USPS Mail Theft and Vandalism form. Contact your Crime Watch Captain for assistance.
